Water Use
All Transport has taken part in the “Street Smart River Clean Pollution Prevention Program”. This program has assisted us in meeting and exceeding environmental standards.

Rainwater is collected in two tanks – with a combined capacity of 84,000 litres. This water is used in our Truck Wash Facility, the water is then purified before entering the sewer system. Proudly this facility has been used by environmental officers and SA Water officers as a demonstration site for best environmental practices.
Rainwater is also used on our lawns and rose gardens. A third tank is currently being planned.

Waste Disposal & Recycling
Many of our waste products are returned for reprocessing:
• Waste Oil, Coolants, Paints and Thinners
• Scrap Metals and Plastic mudguards
• Vehicle Batteries and Tyres
• Office Paper, Magazines and Toners
And….we get severely damaged trucks back on the road again. Now that’s large scale recycling!
Vehicle Air Conditioning
We are authorised by ARC to handle vehicle air conditioner refrigerants. ARC is a government body seeking to reduce greenhouse gas emissions www.arctick.org “Take care of our future and only use an authorised trader”
Energy Reduction
The workshop has a sawtooth roof, providing significant natural light. The sawtooth windows face south allowing maximum light without direct sunlight. Additional lighting is only needed during some overcast days in winter.
Our heated spray booths are operated by natural gas and electricity.
We are currently looking at solar power and other ways to further reduce our environmental impact.
